Everyday Carry of a University Student from the Netherlands

This week, we interview B (@dutchknifeguy) from the Netherlands. He just started his first year of his International Business Bachelor. He's in the process of joining the military reserves as a part-time soldier, along with his studies. So what's his favorite EDC tool? Read on to find out!

Featured Tools:

Wallet: Recycled Firefighter
Knife: Benchmade 940-1
Key Organizer: Carbocage Keycage
Multi-tool Knife: Victorinox Swiss Army Knife Cadet
Pen: Fisher Space Pen
Flashlight: Nextorch K3

Background:

B, a University Student who is in the process of joining the military reserves, got into EDC gear almost a year ago. He tells us that he has had an interest in knives ever since he was a little kid. He got his first pocket knife, a cheap Swiss Army Knife knockoff on vacation in Austria when he was just 10 years old. Then, he quickly got his first real Swiss Army Knife for his birthday.

His passion for knives died down for a bit growing up since his parents didn't really like knives. However, about a year ago, he discovered that one of his friends was also interested in knives. One thing led to another and soon enough, B was pulled back into knives and gear, with a small but growing collection of gear of his own.

Favorite EDC Tool:

B tells us that his favorite gear is by far his Benchmade knife. However, knives are frowned upon and often seen as weapons in the Netherlands. So he usually carries his Swiss Army Knife as well since it's more acceptable in public.
