Welcome to the Urban EDC Showcase! Each week, we feature one member of the EDC community and the gear they rely on every day. Want to be featured? Submit your gear photo.

Hailing from Saint Louis, Missouri, Kye is a small business owner that has partnered up with a Fortune 50 company. As an avid outdoorsman, Kye enjoys his time in the wood, guns and all things EDC related. Read on to find out how he first got into EDC, and what his favorite tool is.

Featured Tools:

  • Toothpick: Titanium Toothpick
Ti toothpick, who doesn’t need one every once in a blue moon?

  • Tweezer: PockeTweez
This is one of my everyday carry items that is a life saver. Great for getting out splinters for my girls and I. It’s one of the best set of tweezers I’ve come across but sadly this model is no longer in production.

  • Pry Bar: Atwood Tool
I use it mainly for popping off bottle tops.

  • Knife: Boker Magnum King
This is an inexpensive lock back folder that I’ve had probably longer than any other folder outside of some SAKs. It has 37 layers of Damascus steel and Burl wood scales with brass rivets and lanyard hole. In other words, a really solid knife.

  • Flashlight: LensLight Micro Cu
I applied a Delta wrap to my LensLight. This is not the lightest or brightest flashlight but I’ve found it’s the sweet spot for its size and runtime for me.

  • Pen: Hinderer Investigator
It’s made of solid copper so it has a nice weight to it. And I like the ability to place the cap on the back of the pen.

  • Utility Tool: Mummert CCL-Ti
I’ve used this little knife card a few times but it’s really more of a form over function piece.

  • SAK: Custom Victorinox Pioneer
I love the pocket clip and acid/stonewashed finish. It came with a glow-in-the-dark backspacer that is really bright in the dark.

  • Wallet: Lucky Leather
This is the EDC executive wallet, I call her the “Murse” because it’s too big for summer carry, so every Midwest winter I just dust it off and fill her up.

Background:

My name is Kye Riggle and I’m from Saint Louis, Missouri. I own a small business that has partnered up with a Fortune 50 company (super blessed but still it’s better than it sounds). I still have to work hard for a living.

I first got into EDC through my grandfather and father. They always had a handkerchief and a pocket knife on them. I’m kind of OCD and like to have items in my car, bag and pockets that might be needed. In my free time, I'm always outdoors. I love being out in the wild, guns, all EDC things related, and raw denim.

Favorite EDC Tool:

My favorite item has to be the PockeTweez. It is not most used but best at its use.

Next On Your Gear Radar:

Next item on my radar is the Machine Era Field Pen in solid brass.
