Joining us from Bad Pyrmont, Lukas (@myknifediary) is a trainee Dental Technician. As a child, he has always been into knives and it was through Instagram that his love for EDC flourished. Read on for the details of Lukas’ sleek and simple carry, and find out what’s next on his gear radar!
- Folding Knife: Spyderco Manix 2 XL
I like to carry at least one folder. I don‘t tend to favor any particular style but I like myself some nice materials, perfect centering and a great action! And this blade has it all.
- Fixed Blade: GiantMouse GMF1
As my secondary knife, I like to take a small folder or a small fixed blade with me. Most of the time I‘ll carry my Victorinox Pioneer or the GMF1.
- Wallet: Das Offene Meer Leather Co. Gun Deck
A real everyday carry item with great quality! Everything is handmade by the owner, Michael Bluth, who is an active duty sailor in the US Navy.
- Utility Tool: NGM Knives Pryen
I love to carry small pocket tools like this Pryen by NutterGrindingMetal or the Böker Access Tool.
- Pen: Hinderer Investigator
I write a lot and I really like copper, so this is the perfect pen for me.
My name is Lukas and I I live in Germany. I am currently doing the apprenticeship as a Dental Technician. When I'm not working, I spend most of my free time with my girlfriend and her horses, so I‘m outside a lot. So how did I get into EDC? The truth is that I've liked knives since I was a little kid - but my biggest inspiration was @foldersunfolded on Instagram! It was through him that I found out about the EDC community, and the rest, as they say, is history!
Favorite EDC Tool:
My favorite item out of the list is probably the GMF1 by GiantMouse! Jesper Voxnæs and Jens Anso did an awesome job designing this! The quality of the sheath and the blade itself is awesome and it‘s a great little tool!
Next On Your Gear Radar:
My next EDC items will probably be some more Victorinox's and some organizers from HitchAndTimber!
