Welcome to the Urban EDC Showcase! Each week, we feature one member of the EDC community and the gear they rely on every day. Want to be featured? Submit your gear photo.

From Canada, we chat with the absolute badass that is Krista (@norseworx) who's a mother of 2 twin daughters and 3 step-sons, a successful big-box retail operator, content creator, and entrepreneur – all while pursuing her doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine. Read on for Krista's story, and find out what she carries on a daily basis to get sh*t done!

Featured Tools:

  • Pen: Fisher Bullet Space Pen
This comes in handy every day when I need to write something down or someone asks for a pen. It writes under any conditions, even in water or grease.

  • SAK: Swiss Army Alox Cadet
This is the limited edition Alox Cadet and has the BEST nail file and a wicked bottle opener.

  • Flashlight: Prometheus QR V2
Three modes with a quick release which comes in handy and beats any iPhone light. I drop everything!

  • Lighter: Urban EDC Douglass Neo 1
The sexiest piece in this pocket dump, which screams class and is a great conversation piece. Also, reminds me of one of my favorite shows "Peaky Blinders.".

      Background

In a nutshell, I'm a 43-year-old badass Canadian stepmom to 2 twin daughters and 3 step-sons. A partner, daughter, and friend to many. I am a successful big-box retail operator, a Queens University student (pursuing my doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine), a content creator, and an entrepreneur.

I'm creating a brand based on EDC products and makers that I am passionate about with a hint of my own Norse flair from my Scandinavian heritage. I first got into EDC while in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic and have been obsessed with the practicality of it and the energetic community it brings ever since.

My hobbies are riding my motorcycle (Blacked out 2010 Honda Shadow Phantom), going on adventures with my partner and children, photography and Axe throwing.

      Favorite EDC Tool:

My favorite EDC Tool at the moment is my SOG power pint since it's so compact and has a plethora of tools for my use case - at work and at play.

      What's On Your Gear Radar:

I am anxiously awaiting the delivery of the Big Idea Designs Ti EDS V2: Frame Lock Titanium Everyday Screwdriver in Black. I supported Kickstarter for this one!
