Background:
My name is Rob Penny and I live in Weatherford, Texas on our family's working cattle ranch. My wife and I own and operate our family pharmacy.
When not at work, I spend as much time as possible with our two young children. My hobbies include hunting, fishing, archery, shooting guns and working (playing) on our ranch as frequently as I can.
My love for gear began when my dad gave me a Case stockman when I was probably 10 years old (I still have this knife). From that point on, I have collected pocket knives and routinely carried them.
It wasn't until a few years ago that I began collecting handmade custom knives. At that point, I began to seek out other collectors via Instagram. That is where I was first introduced to the term "EDC". Now, it's a fun way to share my hobby and passion with other like-minded individuals in the IG community.
Favorite EDC Tool:
If I had to pick a favorite item that is listed, I'd have to pick the Mayo Covert.
This particular knife was at the top of my "want" list when I started collecting modern knives. There's just something to be said about a design and execution that stands on its own, apart from others, without all the fancy embellishments that many knives have today. The beauty of this knife is in its simplicity. The user-friendly size and blade shape are added bonuses to this knife that so often finds its way into my pocket.
