Since its launch, the Northwoods Hawthorne Jack has garnered a cult-following among traditional slip joint enthusiasts – and for good reason. Commissioned by the late, and great, Derrick Bohn of KSF, this highly sought-after blade is made by GEC in the USA to the highest of standards.
Intentionally designed as a slim jackknife, the Hawthorne Jack is named after one of the most eclectic, interesting streets in Portland. Sleek, slim, and elegant, it's tough enough to take on any everyday cutting task while still being compact enough to pocket easily.
The blade is made of superbly heat treated 1095 carbon steel, which is easy to sharpen and will develop a gorgeous patina with use. The steel liners add rigidity, while a crisp half-stop adds a measure of security. The scales are made from a beautifully textured Burlap Micarta, which is not only lightweight but also incredibly tough, robust, and durable.
If you're looking for an all-American modern interpretation of the elegant jackknife like the one your grandfather carried – look no further than the Northwoods Hawthorne Jack.
