Chef's folding knife
When Spyderco releases a chef's knife – you pay attention. The latest collaboration with Polish custom knifemaker Marcin Slysz, the Spyderco SpydieChef combines Slysz's unique design language with flawless craftsmanship and modern materials.
While the SpydieChef engineered to excel in the wet and harsh conditions of the kitchen, it's also a highly-evolved folding knife. Equally adept in the kitchen and out, it leverages on the ergonomics and durability a chef's knife offers, to bring you unmatched toughness, versatility and cutting prowess.
On the cutting edge – in iconic Marcin Slysz-style – the SpydieChef features an elegantly curved, full-flat-ground blade that's precision machined from LC200N steel. LC200N is a state-of-the-art high nitrogen alloyed tool steel that is specifically formulated to offer superior corrosion resistance and extreme toughness – making it perfect for use in the kitchen.
The open-backed titanium handles are lightweight and easy to maintain, while the high-strength Reeve Integral Lock (R.I.L.) mechanism that locks the blade securely open when in use, yet allows easy one-handed lock release.
Finally, the Spyderco SpydieChef is completed a reversible deep-pocket wire clip and generously sized lanyard hole that allows the easy attachment of safety lines and lanyards. What's more, every part of the SpydieChef – from the clip to the screws – are machined from from highly corrosion-resistant alloys. If you're looking for a blade that will have your back through hell and high water – this is it.
