You're in for a treat. Taking centerstage in our Marketplace this week is a rare GTC Federal Reduced Flipper Prototype, custom designed and handmade by the one and only Gustavo Thome Cecchini, also affectionately known as Gus to the knife community.
Gus means business. Awarded the Best New Maker at the 2006 Sao Paulo Knife Show, Best Innovative Design at the 2012 USN Gathering and gracing the cover of Blade Magazine all while pioneering many technical firsts to his folders (Unique Assisted-opening, Straight-cut Lock-bar, Flush Clip and many more) – Gus brings the same level of ingenuity, innovation and a relentless pursuit for perfection to the GTC Federal Reduced Flipper Prototype.
It comes ready to bang with a gorgeously-ground and rubbed S35VN steel blade that cuts like butter. The titanium handles feature a secure frame lock with carbon fiber scale inserts along with Gus' signature hidden Flush Clip design. As always, the devil is in the smallest of details – every screw head and thumb-studs are custom-cut for precision and the level of finishing and attention to details are just otherworldly.
Those who say perfection is unattainable has clearly never handled a GTC knife made by Gus. If you're looking to own a bit of perfection in an imperfect world (with some knife history and lore thrown into the mix), make sure to jump on this custom masterpiece before it's snapped up and gone for good.
