Working out of Gentry, Arkansas, Tom Krein has been honing his craft since 1993 and has worked with knifemaking legends such as Bob Dozier and the late and great A.G. Russell. He’s well known in the custom knife world for his “form follows function” approach, and that philosophy is exemplified in the mini-masterpiece that is the Krein Hydra.

At its core, the Krein Hydra is a compact everyday fixed blade that exudes dependability. It features a Krein-sharp 2.5” D2 blade with ample belly for slicing and precision cuts, while the upper swedge lends extra strength and stability for heavier-duty work.

The robust full-tang construction extends into a perfectly shaped carbon fiber handle that fills your hand for a comfortable and secure grip. The large tube at the base allows for lanyard attachment and it comes with a custom-fit black Kydex sheath with a Large Tek Lok attachment.
