Vartan Pocket Square
Versatile, Elegant, and Classy
Nothing comes close to a pocket square when it comes to conveying your sense of style and personality. Not only is a pocket square a subtle way of expressing yourself, it also adds a nice flourish to your outfit.
The Vartan Pocket Squares are made right here in San Francisco, California and feature some of the most intricate stitching and hand-dyeing methods. Each pocket square is stitched and threaded before hand-dyeing, resulting in a beautifully unique and exquisitely dapper work of art that is perfect for your pocket.
Vartan is led by Carly Rose, a textile and interior designer with an affinity for vibrant colors, textures, and simple-yet-elegant construction principles. A native Californian, Carly grew up in the foothills of Sequoia National Park in Central Valley. She first found her muse in the natural elements of her environment. She studied under the artist Victor De La Rosa and Shibori educator and artist, Yoshiko Wada, and has worked with the Anthropologie Display Department, Christina Weber at Studiopatro, and Denise Fielder at PasteSF.
Vartan uses modest and often ancient construction methods, such as such as Japanese Shibori dyeing techniques and delicate hand-rolled hems, to create thoughtfully-crafted pieces made from the highest quality fabrics and dyes.
Please view additional photos for more details on each individual pocket square.
Note: Hand wash with mild soap and water, hot iron if needed. Please note that each handkerchief hand-dyed, making each handkerchief one-of-a-kind. Therefore, slight variations in dye patterns are normal. Some bleeding or movement of color may occur in the first wash. Be sure to rinse your item before mixing with light colors.
