Welcome to the Urban EDC Showcase! Each week, we feature a member of the EDC community and the gear they rely on every day. Want to be featured? Submit your gear photo.

All the way from Norway, we talk gear with David who's a carpenter, hiker, camper and all round badass. As such, David gets to put his gear through the paces on daily basis. Read on for the full rig rundown, and find out what's David's favorite knife brand and holy grail!

Featured Tools:

  • Knife: Urban EDC F5.5
This is a photo of a typical carry for me. Not always these exact items, but these are often carried! The Vox F5.5 is an amazing piece, and Jesper Voxnaes is my favorite designer!

  • Knife 2: GiantMouse Ace Riv
What we have here is my GiantMouse Ace Riv in Stormtrooper suit. GiantMouse has quickly become my favorite brand of knives, and I never go anywhere without a GiantMouse on me!

  • Pry: Lynch NorthWest
I always carry a pry bar because in my line of work as a carpenter, I get to use a pry bar almost everyday!

  • Flashlight: Okluma DC0
This is my absolute favorite flashlight! In my favorite material, brass.

What's your story:

My name is David and been a fan of EDC gear for a few years now, and it has caught me in a spell! Always had thing for knives!

Got my first knife from my Grandad when I was three, lost it the same year after cutting my finger. And lucky as I was we found it the next year where I cut my finger!

I’m a carpenter for my day job, and hiker, camper and hunter in my spare time. So I get a lot of use of my gear.

In Norway, EDC isn’t something many people are into. But I’m trying to get more people here into it!

Favorite EDC Tool:

My favorite piece of gear right now is my flashlight, use it alot now in the winter!

What's On Your Gear Radar:

If there is one piece of gear I want to get my hands on that exist it’s a Brass Iona from GiantMouse, my holy grail! And if there is something I would love to get that don’t exist, it would me a brass Umnumzaan drop point!
