Welcome to the Urban EDC Showcase! Each week, we feature one member of the EDC community and the gear they rely on every day. Want to be featured? Submit your gear photo.

A modern day pirate, Brad (@screaminpirate.edc) hails from Greenville, South Carolina and works on firewalls when he's not swashbuckling out at sea. An avid photographer and YouTube video reviewer, Brad also shares his thoughts on all thing EDC on his channel. Read on for the full screamin' rig rundown, and find out what item is Brad's favourite tool in his arsenal.

Featured tools:

  • Knife: Urban EDC Supply F5.5
The knife is the Urban EDC Supply F5.5. I had the blade and hardware cerakoted by REC. I like this knife for its build quality, materials, and cost.

  • Pen: Tactile Turn
The pen is the Nautilus pen from Tactile Turn. I like the milling on the pen body and it takes a wide variety of ink cartridges. It being nautical themed helps too.

  • Pry Bar: Cerberus Knives
The pry bar is the Atlas from Cerberus Knives. I like the deep carry clip and robustness of the 3V steel.

  • Coin: TheGrimPocket
The coin is the Still Time V2 from TheGrimPocket on IG. I like the detail on this coin and the meaning behind it. On one side it says “There is Still Time to be the Light” and on the other it has the Carry the Skull Logo. Carry the Skull reminds us to try and make a little more of a positive impact each day, appreciate and cherish life more, and to give more.

  • Hank: Renegade.edc
The hank is the Swab the Deck hank from Renegade.edc on IG. I like this hank since it supports a friend’s business and it is pirate-y in theme. Finally, the leather mat was also made by Renegade.edc on IG. It has my logo laser engraved on it.

My story:

I live in Greenville, South Carolina which is half way between Charlotte and Atlanta. I do IT work for phone systems and firewalls.

I first got into EDC about 5 years ago after my 2nd bachelors degree and found how useful a knife, pry bar, and hank can be every day. It also doesn’t hurt to always have a pen.

My hobbies right now are gaming, recording YouTube videos for my EDC review channel, and smoking meat.

Favorite EDC tool:

My favorite item listed has to be the Nautilus pen since it can be carried and it’s so fidget friendly.

What's on my gear radar:

The next piece of gear on my radar is the Koenig Mini Goblin.
