Handmade Friction Folder
As an avid fisherman and outdoorsman, custom knife maker Kansei Matsuno first started making knives for his own use before being inundated by requests from friends for his outstanding blades. And the rest, as they say, is history.
Meticulously designed and handcrafted by Kansei Matsuno himself, the Kansei F022 bears all the hallmarks of a classic Kansei masterpiece. Created as a compact everyday carry friction folder, the F022 features a hand-rubbed, satin finished, two-tone D2 blade in a versatile modified spearpoint shape. From fishing to food preparation, offices duties to outdoor tasks, the svelte but sublime Kansei F022 handles it all with grace.
Aside from the blade, most striking perhaps is the contoured Ironwood scales that are not only elegant but also provides a full and comfortable grip in hand. As these are natural materials, each Ironwood scale comes with a different wood-grain pattern with no two being alike.
Available in two configurations – short or regular – the Kansei F022 is a stunning amalgamation of the best of East and West, new and old. If you're looking for a simple (but no simpler) blade that features some of the most exacting craftsmanship, details and design touches, there's simply nothing quite like the one-of-a-kind Kansei F022.
