Welcome to the Urban EDC Showcase! Each week, we feature one member of the EDC community and the gear they rely on every day. Want to be featured? Submit your gear photo.
Good looks and 'cool factor' aside, Ethan (@carryoride) is never afraid to put his tools to good and hard use. A student and part-timer at an Ace Hardware, Ethan knows his way around tools. Read on to learn how he put together the perfect trio for his daily use, and find out what's next on his gear radar!

My story:
My name's Ethan. I'm a CA, Bay Area kid in high school and I work at a local Ace hardware part time. In my free time I like to explore new places, meet new people, and geek out over knives!
The gear in my pockets represents the tasks I tackle in my day to day life. There's definitely a 'cool factor', but I'm not afraid to actually use my tools. After all, that's what they're made for!
Whether it's tearing into a bag of soil at work or popping a bottle in the evening, it is always nice to know I have everything I need right in my pockets. A mini toolbox if you will.
I have always loved gadgets and gear, but only in the past three or so years have I truly begun to delve into the world of EDC. I really struck gold with this community. So many nice people and amazing makers! I'm super grateful to be able to bring what's in my pockets to the greater public eye.
Favorite EDC Tool:
The Koch Tools Culprit OG Ti is my favorite piece of gear, due to it being my most used tool and a great overall conversation piece.
What's On Your Gear Radar:
WE Knives, Mote. I've been lusting after a titanium frame lock flipper for some time now. The sleek, eye-pleasing lines and solid blade steel both contribute to an amazing utilitarian design.
