At the cutting edge, the Spyderco Spyderco SpyOpera features a precision machined full-flat ground blade crafted from "Thor" pattern martensitic Damascus steel created by the Swedish firm Damasteel. 

This extraordinary blade steel is produced by a proprietary powder metallurgy process that forge welds layers of RWL 34 and PMC 27 into a state-of-the-art stainless Damascus steel. After the blade is precision machined and full-flat ground to final form, it is acid etched to reveal its intricate layered pattern – with no two being alike.

Built for everyday performance, the precision-machined solid carbon fiber scales are meticulously shaped, crowned, and finished for the smoothest and most ergonomic feel in hand. The attention to detail extends to every aspect of the Spyderco Spyopera, right down to the thoughtfully crowned surfaces on the spine of the blade and lock bar.
