Third time’s the charm. After the venerable Foursevens was bought over by Prometheus Lights, the timeless classic that is the Preon P1 is being re-released in an all-new configuration that is bound to impress new and old fans alike.
In essence, Prometheus Lights took everything good about the original Preon P1 and made it better. Running on common AAA batteries, the compact Foursevens Preon P1 MKIII puts out 100 lumens of gorgeous light courtesy of the Hi-CRI Nichia 219C emitter that allows you to see truer color, even in the dark.
The Foursevens Preon P1 MKIII now comes stock with the legendary Prometheus pocket clip, which is perfectly tensioned and extremely durable. In addition, the grooves beneath the clip were removed to prevent them from tearing into your pocket.
Another common problem with the original Preon was accidental activation due to the finicky tail-cap. This has been solved by implementing a newly-designed rubber tail-cap that is extra solid and highly functional. Coupled with the intuitive user-interface, the Foursevens Preon P1 MKIII is superbly easy to use yet highly configurable.
Finally, the Foursevens Preon P1 MKIII now benefits from Prometheus Light’s signature coating and finish options, which includes the exquisite and extremely tough polished Electroless Nickel and stealthy PVD coating.
The Foursevens Preon P1 MKIII retains the groundbreaking spirit of Foursevens, while leveraging on the relentless innovation and fanatical craftsmanship that Prometheus Lights is renowned for. If this is a sign of things to come, then the stage is set for bigger, better and brighter things to come.
