The Ultimate Redencion
Few things in the knife world are as iconic as a Chaves blade, with its aggressive lines and ‘take no prisoners’ attitude to performance. And for the first time ever, the Chaves Redencion 229 is built with a flipper tab, and not just any flipper tab, but the Lee Williams Kickstop flipper tab – which is absolutely legendary in its own right.
Created in collaboration with Reate Knives and sharing the same vaunted bloodline as the custom handmade Redención, the Lee Williams Kickstop flipper tab is a full-sized folder that impresses with its impeccable fit, finish, feel, and function.
The stout yet compact 3.63” Bohler M390 blade is stonewashed for enhanced wear resistance and deploys via dual thumb studs. The frame lock is unfailingly solid and comes with a lock bar insert for longevity of use. The iconic Chaves skull titanium pocket clip and custom anodized hardware complete this one-of-a-kind and badass package.
The lightweight G10 handles offer maximum lightweight performance, and since this is a classic Ramon design, his signature is emblazoned on the blade. It also features Ramon's preference for a notorious and intentionally strong detent, which translates to maximum security and strength.
Along with everything you'd expect from a Chaves blade, the Chaves Redencion 229 features the iconic Lee Williams Kickstop flipper tab. The difference with the Kickstop flipper is that it's attached to the frame by a separate pin, instead of being part of the blade's tang. When opening the knife, the flipper tab rotates back and conceals itself, keeping things sleek while allowing for enhanced flexibility in how you handle and hold the blade.
Truly a class apart in terms of style, sleekness, and performance, the Chaves Redencion 229 is something to behold. If you’re looking for the ballsy performance of a Chaves Redencion without the equally ballsy price tag (not to mention the long, excruciating wait), the exquisitely crafted Chaves Ultramar Redencion 229 will be the perfect "end-all" knife in your collection.
