Welcome to the Urban EDC Showcase! Each week, we feature one member from our community and the gear they rely on everyday. Want to be featured? Submit your gear photo

This week, we have Johan (@joda73_), a preschool teacher from Stockholm Archipelago, Sweden. His gear reflects his love for nature, as well as the conservative European culture in which knives are considered weapons.

Featured Tools:

Knife: Bark River Knives Mini-Fox River
Pen: TWSBI Diamond 540 Fountain Pen
Flashlight: Zebralight H52
Multitool: Victorinox Swiss Army Knife
Watch: Seiko 5 Sports
Notebook: Field Notes
Notebook cover: Old Valley Leather Goods

Background:

Johan's interest in EDC gear started very early, as he's always been a huge nature and outdoors enthusiast. Johan is a preschool teacher but outside of the classroom, he keeps himself busy by spending as much time as he can with his family: his wife, three children, and two Staffordshire Bull Terriers!

Favorite EDC Tool:

When asked about his favorite EDC tool, Johan had a difficult time coming up with an answer. He tells us that the Bark River Mini-Fox River is probably his favorite tool, but would never leave the house without his Victorinox Swiss Army Knife. Because knives are seen as weapons in Europe, Johan likes to keep his EDC more refined and conservative.
